Helping Families Help Their Kids to Connect to the World....

4 Paws at a time.

Raising the funds necessary to secure an Autism Service Dog placement is never easy. However, it is in the raising of those funds that the true dedication, devotion and perseverance of the family to help their child is truly shown. For this reason we will never fully fund the total donation amount necessary to participate in an Autism Service Dog Agency program.

The current state of the economy affects everyone, including us. Our current maximum grant once approved is $500. However, when additional funds are available, we will provide approved applicants matching grants up to 50% of the cost of obtaining a service dog (maximum is $5,000). If a family is approved by our selection committee, but funds are not available or they have not yet met their portion of the needed fund raising, then the family will be placed on our wait list through a maximum of two additional grant cycles before needing to reapply.

Once approved, Paws for Autism will send funds directly to the certified 501(c)(3) Autism Service Dog Agency/Trainer only after that agency has verified that the family has raised their portion of the expenses.

Our next grant application deadline is 4/1/2013 with awards to be announced in June, 2013.
